Life Groups

Life Groups are a vital part of our church family life. This is where we grow, care and serve together.

…why Life Groups?

Life Groups are about building relationships and friendships, supporting each other in prayer and practical ways, developing and deepening our faith together, studying God’s word and having fun. They are a place where you should be safe to be yourself, to use your gifts and talents and share honest questions.

If you are new to our church they are also a great way of getting to know a few folk really well and quickly, which makes settling into church that much easier.

We encourage everyone to be involved in a small group. They meet at various times during the week so there is plenty of choice. Why don’t you just give it a try?

“Just as each of us has one body with many members, and these members do not all have the same function, so in Christ we who are many form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.”

(Romans 12:4-5)

Weekly Info Sheet

There is a great mix of locations and times the various groups get together.

It can be a bit confusing, as some groups don’t meet every week or always in the same location. Checking the weekly info sheet is a good start. Or get in touch with the listed contact.

Monday Morning Group

Monday • 10am(ish)
(during school term)

Tillicoultry Baptist Church

We are made up of young mothers, not so young mothers, a few grandmothers and those who find it difficult to get to small group meetings at night.

We aim to make it a relaxed atmosphere as there are usually some rowdy toddlers in the background.

We normally spend a bit of time chatting, eating healthy and calorie free food (not!), and have a wee Bible study before praying together.

Monday Evening

Monday • 8pm

The Clark’s House
Tillicoultry

We meet with a regular theme of tea, cakes, podcasts and prayers. The aim of our meetings is to encourage one another in our ā€œwith Godā€ life.

In order to focus our prayers, we use a prayer board which is a constant reminder of God’s faithfulness.

Tuesday Morning

Tuesday • 10:30am

The Watkins’ house
Tillicoultry

There are usually around 7 of us who gather together for a blether and cuppa, and begin our study at 10:30. Our studies are usually based on a Bible book, and we are always encouraged to see how the whole of Scripture fits together.

We do have a lot of laughs, too. The aim is to finish by noon, but people are welcome to stay for further chat.

Tilly/Dollar Group

Wednesday • 7:30pm

Various Homes

Our aim is to build friendship over a cup of tea or coffee and discuss issues from the Bible which are basic to our Christian Faith and relevant to our own lives in today’s society.

Young People’s Group

Wednesday • 7:30pm

Various Homes

We are a group of young adults who meet every Wednesday to support and encourage one another to live out the Christian faith authentically and passionately. It’s a relaxed group where we enjoy doing life together, laughing, sharing highs and lows and exploring what Jesus means to us through it all. We enjoy opening the Bible and worshipping together. If you are interested in coming along please talk to the Meeten’s or the Wraight’s.

Sauchie Group

Thursday • 7:30pm

David & Agnes’ home
Sauchie

Our aim is to build friendship over a cup of tea or coffee and discuss issues from the Bible which are basic to our Christian Faith and relevant to our own lives in today’s society. AĀ place where we find belonging, encouragement & purpose as we grow in our faith in Jesus.
